About

If you get nothing from this blog except the fact that you have to think for yourself, then I feel like my typing has not been in vain. Read the Bible. My favorite books are found in the Old Testament (1st & 2nd Samuel, 1st & 2nd Kings, 1st & 2nd Chronicles, Daniel, Jeremiah, Proverbs, all the minor prophets) but I am especially drawn to these books in the New Testament (John, Acts, James, Galatians). Read other viewpoints. Ask questions. Write out what you believe. Don’t be sheeple, please.

I’m a 31 year old lady who has a personal relationship with Christ. That doesn’t give me the right, nor the responsibility, to tell unbelievers that they are in sin. My first job is to help others find a relationship, after that, I’m fully convinced that any sin will be pointed out by Jesus. I’ve enough sin in my own life to work out. There’s not enough time in my day to go around pointing my fingers at you.

Of course, if you are a believer and I see you in sin (for example, gossiping, forgetting your own plank, etc.) I have a responsibility to share my observations with you IN A LOVING AND CONSTRUCTIVE WAY.

I think that as believers we rarely represent the love, compassion and forgiveness that we are called to communicate.  How will they know how He loves them if we can’t show empathy and love ourselves?

“A new command I give you:  Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another.  By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another. “  Jesus Christ, John 13:34-35
